Superdrug Tea-tree Skincare products

Hello everyone!

I thought I would share with you all some products that I have been using to clear up my skin.

About a month ago my skin got really bad, so bad my make-up could barely cover it up. I have always been prone to spots and problem skin and it has been something I have tried everything to get rid of!

-Cleanser and toner
-Facial Cleasning pads
 -Blended tea tree oil
 -Deep cleansing nose strips

The first item I started using was the facial cleansing pads and after just a couple of uses I noticed the difference in my skin. Not only did I notice fewer spots, but the overall appearance of my skin looked so much better!

-------------

It says on the back of most of these products to integrate them with your skincare routine and to use them about twice a week.

These products are all from Superdrug own brand range and are super inexpensive, especially when they are on offer! I purchased them when they were all on offer, but I would say what you wouldn't even need all of the product in the range just even one product i found worked for me!

Have you tried any Tea tree products?

Favourite Summer Moisturisers

Hello everyone!

After having a little clear out of my products, I realised that I have been using these four products none stop since I purchased each of them!
Also as we are still in the summer months, I thought it would be useful to share some products that i have found great to use in these slightly warmer summer months!

1. Garnier Moisture match Hydrating gel - £3.99 (Purchased at £1.00!)
I mentioned this product in a video I did on my channel showing my July favourites. This was actually recommended to me from a friend, and I am so very glad she did! I love the fact that this moisturiser is very refreshing and i find it absorbs very quickly as-well!

2. Nivea Moisturising day cream - £5.35
This product is one I have talked about many times on this blog and my channel, but it is just so good! As-well this little pot lasts such a long time, which is a great thing as I use it every day!

3. Nivea Soft moisturising cream - £1.20
Another great Nivea product and this one has a couple of different uses, as it can be used on the body. This is only a small tub of this product as I got it in a small Nivea gift set. I do like this product as a body moisturiser, however I actually referred to use it on my face.

4. Astral face and body moisturiser - £1.89
This product is a slightly newer product for me, I actually received a smaller tub of this cream in a glossybox. I have to admit I wasn't that fussed on this product, but the results on my skin was rather quite impressive! After I purchased this bigger tub, which is as you can see a pink limited edition one for superdrug!

Glossy Box // December 2014

 Hello everyone!

I have been anticipating this December Glossybox for months now! With the festive season already upon us, it was a lovely additional surprise to receive a very festive looking glossy box! So lets take a look inside at what I received!

 1. Anatomicals Zap! Zap! Zap! Day and night spot stick-
I believe I have only ever received a product by Anatomicals once before in a glossy-box, so I was quite excited to see this product in this months glossy-box. My skin tends to be very temperamental at times, so I will be interested to see if this product helps when my skin breaks out!

2.  SkinPep Hydra Boost Acid serum-
With all this cold weather, I can't wait to test out this skin hydration serum on my dry skin! I have received a couple of different sample size SkinPep products, which I actually enjoyed using! So fingers crossed this particular product works!

3. TRESemme Renewal hair and scalp tonic-
The full size bottle of this Tresemme  Renewal tonic was the first product to catch my eye when I first opened my box. I normally use a wide range of Tresemme products, but this is one I haven't even heard of before and I can't wait to try it!

4. All That Jazz Professional Nail Lacquer-
Getting into the Christmas spirit lately I have been loving glitter and sparkly nail polishes, especially those from the Barry M range! However this sparkly top coat (Lauren's Miss fancy pants) looks amazing! One of these nail polishes from this range is actually priced at £9.98!

5. Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek and Lip stain
In past glossy- boxes I have received a Bellapierre lipstick and also a lip gloss and I have loved both products! The shade I received was coral and looks much brighter in the photo, however it doesn't actually come out as vivid (thankfully!)

Overall I am super happy with all of the items I received in this months box, in a way glossy box redeemed itself in my books as I was getting a little disheartened with some of the products in the other past boxes. With items that where only sample size to products I couldn't or wouldn't use. However this months box has totally reminded me why I love buying and receiving these beauty boxes!

Have you received any great products within any Glossyboxes lately??

Burt's Bees Basics Hand cream and Lip balm Review

Hello everyone!

Today's post is going to be a review post on a product I have been wanting to try for a really long time! I bought the Burt's Bees basics set, which consists of the Honey & Grapeseed Hand cream and the Honey Lip balm, from feelunique.com

The packaging itself, with the yellow box and little bee, it is overall very cute! And I think this would make a lovely little additional present for someone!

Honey Lip Balm

This is the Honey lip balm which contain vitamin E. The lip balm itself doesn't have a fake honey smell to it, as of course it does say that the products are made with 100% natural ingredients. However I was a little unsure of what the scent of this product was going to be like and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the scent.

Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream

This hand cream smells so much better than I could have imagined! The honey mixed with the grapeseed gives such a wonderful scent, which actually last on your hands! The fact that this hand cream's scent lasts is a huge positive for me,I hate when hand cream smells great but the scent and basically the product disappears almost instantly!

So overall I'm so pleased with these two Burt's Bees products! And I can definitely see myself re-purchasing the hand cream in the near future, I am quite addicted to using it already!

Have you tried any Burt's Bees products? What do you think of them?

Lush 'Whoosh' Shower Jelly Review...

I actually received this a while ago as a gift from one of my lovely friends. Before receiving this product, I haven't before tried any of the Lush shower Jellies, although each time I have been in the shop I have been very interested as they look so cool!

This the Whoosh Shower jelly and it is made with Lemon, Lime and Rosemary. The scent is very fresh and defiantly has a strong citrus scent to it.
The jelly itself is just as you would expect, it being called a shower jelly and all. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how well the shower jelly lathered up too!

I really love the little description on the front of the tub, "Whoosh was named after the sound of deadline whizzing by. Useful for renewed focus when tired, jet lagged or revising for exams." I just thought this description of this shower jelly was so funny and very true as the scent is so very refreshing.

The 100g pot of this is £3.50 and the 240g is £6.95. And there is also a Sweetie Pie Cherry scent, which I really want to try!

Have you tried any of the Lush Shower Jellies??

Rimmel Scandal Eyes- Rockin' Curves

This is the newest Rimmel mascara to hit the shelves and the newest addition to my make-up collection. It really feel like Rimmel have a new mascara out all the time, which I think would be quite confusing for anyone trying to choose a new mascara for the first time!

The Curved brush as suggested in the title, 'Rockin' Curves,' is something new and may take a while getting used to. The brush as well, I will add is quite big and thick, so for those of you who do not like big mascara wands or brushes I would not recommend this for you! I however, actually like the mascara with bigger brush, they always seem to work well with giving a bit of mush needed length and volume to me short eyelashes!

Volume they said. 'No clumps' they said.

Well both of those statements weren't exactly true. The brush did have a lot of product on it the first time I used it, and it did make my eyelashes look a little clumpy. Actually I think that is putting is mildly, there was a lot of product and loads of clumping! I found it very hard to coat my lashes without having them overly coated in mascara!

I didn't see a lot of difference to the volume of my lashes, but my lashes did look a little longer from using this product, compared to other small brush mascara. Also they in the description said it gives volumes to inner lashes because of the brush. Granted I did find it sightly more easy with with angle of brush to coat my inner lashes with the product, but it didn't give the effect I thought it was going to give.

So Try or Miss? I think unless you are dying to try this product out, give it a miss at least for now as the price is not really worth the product in my opinion.

Nivea Happy Time Orange Blossom // Get Some Happiness!

Hello there!

I have been loving this Nivea Happy Time shower cream. This shower cream is the Orange Blossom one and smells amazing! It has such a strong and fresh citrus scent, I feel totally awakened by this product. This shower cream one of the freshest fruity scents that is powerful at the same time, which is hard to find in most shower gel and shower washes.

Containing bamboo milk, this shower cream gives an instant soft feeling which when applied in your skin is incredible. It is the most soothing, softening and skin-caring shower product I have ever used!

There are many other scents within this Nivea shower cream collection and I can't wait to try some others!

Have you tried any of the Nivea Shower cream?

Yankee Candle: Simple Home // Pink Honeysuckle

Hello there!

Today I thought I would share with you all these lovely items I picked up in Asda the other day while shopping. These products are from the Simple Home range from Yankee Candle. I chose the Honeysuckle Tart and small candle, out of all the other scents.

Not only are they pink, but they smell amazing! A very sweet scent, that smells good enough to eat! The tart has a brilliant strong scent when I began to melt it in my Yankee burner. The beautiful scent traveled out of my room and filled the rest of the house. I was quite surprised at how strong this candle and tart were, because of their great price, (Both we're £1.00 each)

What is your favourite Yankee scent???

Tresemme' Salon Silk Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I have been using Tresemme' haircare products for a while now. However a few months ago, I switched from the normal, original Tresemme' shampoo and conditioner to the Salon Silk products.

You can purchase these shampoos from many shops and outlets. I usually purchase mine from Superdrug, where it is £4.99 for a 900 ml bottle of product.

I love how these products, especially the conditioner, leaves my hair feeling super soft and really healthy looking, Not only that my hair was left very smooth and nourished looking. The more I use these products, the softer and better conditioned my hair is looking and feeling!
I would recommend using these Tresemme' Salon Silk Shampoos and Conditioners, for those who have dry or hair that is prone to friz.

Barry M Haul // Nail Paints

Hello there!

I have been loving all of the Barry M glittery and sparkly nail paints, I think they look so pretty and are brilliant value for money.

From left to right - Amethyst £2.99
Duchess £3.99
Rose Quartz £2.99
Princess £3.99

I have tried and purchased the nail paint Amethyst before and loved the coloured sparkled nail look. Duchess and Princess are gorgeous, fabulous shades that are so bright and sparkle! Both of these nails paints are part of the royal collection and are slightly more expensive than the other nail paints. However these nail paints are certainly worth the money, glitter and sparkles are your finger tips. (Excuse the pun!)

Have you been loving any of the Barry M Nail Paints??

Vichy Normaderm Deep Cleansing Gel...

This is the Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel from Vichy Laboratories. This particular product is part of the Normaderm category by Vichy, which is their anti-imperfection range.

I have been using this cleansing gel for a while and it is now an essential part of my skin care routine. I use this product once in the morning and once in the evening, to wash away excess dirt and make-up.

Vichy products are available from Boots, which is where I usually purchased this Cleansing gel. For a 200ml bottle of the Deep Cleansing Purifying Gel  it is £7.87 and I have found that one bottle of this product has lasted me quite a good length of time.

My skin feel completely clean and refreshed after using this cleansing gel. And the appearance of my skin, as far as spots and blemishes are concerned, has improved greatly since beginning to use it.

Have you tried any Vichy Products???

Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Nail Polish Review

(From left to right) Frutti Petutie Mermaid's Tale Pedal to the Medal)

So today I thought I would review these Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail polishes. I purchased two of these nail polishes from Superdrug a while back and the other (Pedal to the Medal) I received as a gift.

Each of these nail polishes are £6.99, which I suppose is quite expensive compared to other brands and nail polishes. However they are quite big bottles and have actually lasted ages!

My favourite is the Mermaid's tale, not just because of it's name, but the blue and green flakes go so well together, which I think creates such a cool effect!

What do you think of these Sally Hansen Salon Manicure Nail Polishes???
Have you tried any of the shades?

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review...

When I wear my foundation my skin can look a little oily, much to my annoyance! So using a pressed powder or setting powder is most certainly a must for me! I have actually tried quite a number of pressed powders from different brands in the past.

With this product, I brought it out with me once, but when I checked my make-up (to my surprise) I did not need to touch it up! My make-up looked the same from when I had first put it on 3 hours previous! And in my books this was very impressive, especially for my skin type!
This product actually states that it is good for 'up to % hours shine control,' and I would say in my opinion this statement would be quite accurate.

I would say that if you did reapply this product, it may become caked looking. This can happen with many pressed powders if they are over applied, but with this product and it lasting power you really won't have worry about re-applying it!

This Rimmel powder is actually £3.99 from Superdrug. Which I actually think is a reasonable price for, in my opinion, a great quality product.

Nivea Pure& Natural Moisturising Day Cream Review...

I purchased this Nivea Pure & Natural Moisturising Day Cream from Superdrug a little while go. I have used a couple of Nivea skin care products in the past, as they really are brilliant moisturisers! I also find that they really work well to keep my skin looking healthy and moisturised.

During the winter months my skin really dries out and this product has really helped my skin to to become properly moisturised. When I am not planning on wearing make-up a tend to use a lot more if this product. And after applying it, I haven't have any problems putting make-up on, on top on it.

I know that a lot of people don't like some Nivea products as they can at times make your skin too oily, however my skin is quite dry that this really isn't a problem for me!

What is your favourite essential skin product??

EcoTools Flawless Face Set Review...

Eco-tools make-up brushes are one of my favourite products/ companies as they're brilliant quality and really do stand the test of time! So when I saw that I had received this Flawless Face brush Set I was one very happy girl!!

So the brushes included in this set are (from front to back)

-Flat Concealer
-Precision Foundation
-Buffing Concealer
-Complexion Blending
-Full Powder

I really love all of the brushes, but my favourite brushes are the Flat Concealer and the Full Powder. The Flat concealer is brilliant for applying concealer in areas which need more attention for example under eyes and around the nose area. The Full powder brush is absolutely brilliant as I have the full size of this brush, and now I don't have to carry the it with me, I can now pop this little brush into my bag!

I love the idea of having these brushes in my make-up bag instead of carrying around big, full size brushes! They are cute, compact and do the job just as we'll as their bigger siblings!!
