Haul // Maybelline New York 100yrs Celebration

Hello everyone!

Today I have some very exciting items which I picked up in Superdrug yesterday! These gorgeous items are part of the 100 years celebration of Maybelline New York and I fell in love with the packaging of these items straight away! All of the items are not new items, but are instead are items that maybelline have classed as 'hero products', and have packaged in this lovely American design.

Matte Maker powder £3.99
The Colossal Volum' Express mascara £7.19
547 Pleasure me red lipstick £6.99
365 Plum passion lipstick £6.99

To be honest I haven't tried the matte maker or the colossal mascara before, or any Maybelline mascara in-fact! However I have used the Coloursensational lipsticks before and they are brilliant, so it was really easy making the decision to purchase these items! I can't wait to try the matte maker and the mascara!

What do you think of the Maybelline 100yrs celebration design?

Review: Revolution Make-up Sugar and Spice Blush Palette

Hello everyone!

Today I would like to share with you all a review and swatches of one of the revolution blush palettes I bought for just £6!! I recently bought quite a few items from Superdrug and the Revolution make-up range. The other items I picked up were eyeshadow palettes, which I have been super impressed with already!

This is the first time I have ever tried a Blush palette, as I normally purchase single blush pots. Having this palette with 8 highly pigmented blushers is super exciting! I think the excitement comes from the fact that there is a lot more choice involved with a palette and that is why a normally prefer to also buy eyeshadow palettes rather than single shadows.

Below is a close-up photo of the blushers themselves and a photo of the blushers swatched as they are in order in the palette.

Each shade is very highly pigmented and it doesn't take a lot of product to become visible when applying to to the skin. I would say that only two of the shades would be what I call natural blushers, because most of the others are quite strong colours.

I have to say that overall I am super happy with this Revolution blush palette and I can't wait to try out some of the other blush palettes!

Have you try any of the Revolution palettes yet?

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush // First Impression review

 Hello everyone!

It is good to be back on here! I finally got a new, better laptop, so hopefully now I will be on and posting a lot more frequently. As for today I thought that I would share two make-up items I recently purchased and have been LOVING!

Here are the swatches of the two blushes. As you can see the Lovely pink shade is a light, shimmer shade which is fantastic for a more subtle make-up look.

Gorgeous Berries 30 is a much deeper shade, which also has a shimmer tint to it. However the shimmer is not as strong as in the Lovely pink shade. Both blushers are strongly pigmented so you really don't need much when applying either of them.

I believe there are six different shades altogether and as I really do like these two, I might purchase the other shades to add to my collection!

Monthly Favourites // August

Hello everyone!

Here is a round up of some products I have been loving through-out the month of August! Some of the product are things I use quite frequently, but that think to be in my monthly favourites list!

Garnier Ultra-Softening Lotion Shea Butter
I have tried a couple of different scents and variations of this Intensive 7 days body lotion and I have liked them all. However I think I would have to say that this is probably my favourite scent of all the Garnier Body lotions. This body moisturiser is defiantly one of the better ones, its absorbs really fast once applied and leaves skin hydrated and moisturised.

Bourjois Blusher 48 Ashes of Roses
I have quite a few different shades of Bourjois Blushers and they have become quite a build-up collection in my make-up stash. This shade is quite a strong and deep rose shade, so with this a little really does go a lonnnggg way!

Sally Hansen Nail polish, Shade: Vitamin Sea
I have tried a few of these Sally Hansen nail polishes and I have loved all of them! But I particularly LOVE this one because of the beautiful shade! I find that these nail polishes are brilliant quality have fantastic results after being applied.

Burt's Bees Honey and Grapeseed Hand cream
This is a relatively new product to me, but I have been using it non-stop since I bought it. I love using and trying new hand cream and I think this is by far the best smelling hand cream I have used to date. Not to mention it is (in my opinion) a brilliant working product, since beginning to use if I have notice my hands being a lot smoother and in better moisturised condition.

Real Techniques Contour Brush
This brush was in a set of Real technique brushes which I bought quite a while ago. I think I also purchased a stippling brush and a buffing brush, but this contour brush was my favourite and most used brush. The brush itself, like the other Real techniques brushes, is of great quality and is the perfect shape and size for contouring.

So that is it for this months product favourites. I am going to try my best and be a little more regimented with my posts, as I really want to be writing these type of posts monthly and sticking to it!

Have you tried any of the products above???

May GlossyBox 2014 // 50 years of Superdrug

Hello there!

I actually didn't renew my Glossy-box subscription last year, but when I saw they were doing a box celebrating 50 years of Superdrug, I thought it would be a good reason to start subscribing again! (Not that I needed that much convincing to do it!)

So here is a look inside as to what I received. I have to say I was super happy with all of the products I received and they are all products which I would totally use! *HAPPY DANCE*

 Simple Kind to skin- Illuminating Radiance Cream

 Collection Bronze Glow Mosaic - 2 Radiant

 Eylure Volume No. 107 False eyelashes

 B. Sheer Conditioning Lipstick - 017 Petal

 2true Pro 3D Candy Cassis Nail art

Garnier Oil Beauty Lotion sample & Ghost Eclipse perfume sample

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOT TOO SHABBY, HUH??
I was very happy when the first thing I saw was the Eylure Volume No. 107 False eyelashes! Well...anything else after the eyelashes was a bonus!! I haven't actually tried any B. lipsticks before and this shade 017 Petal is a gorgeous shade.
I am super excited to try the 2true Pro 3D Candy Cassis Nail art, as I have wanted to try for quite some time. However I am a little afraid as to how messy they are going to be when using them, but if they work they will look really cool!
Overall I LOVED all of the products and items in May's Glossybox and it was interesting to read into the history and background in Superdrug, since it is once of my go-to shops for beauty and skincare products!
Mac Lipstick Haul...
Hello there!
This post has been a long time coming! Since becoming obsessed with beauty and make-up products, I have always wanted to own my own MAC lipstick(s). I really don't have a valid reason why I haven't purchased any before! So the other day I took the plunge and bought three MAC lipsticks from their website.
The three colours I chose were Ruby Woo, Vegas Volt and Myth. I thought I would choose one red shade, one bright shade and one nude shade. I love the shades I chose, although I found it very hard since there was so many to choose from! I didn't know where to start!!
So, what is your favourite Mac Lipstick shade??
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder Review...
When I wear my foundation my skin can look a little oily, much to my annoyance! So using a pressed powder or setting powder is most certainly a must for me! I have actually tried quite a number of pressed powders from different brands in the past.
With this product, I brought it out with me once, but when I checked my make-up (to my surprise) I did not need to touch it up! My make-up looked the same from when I had first put it on 3 hours previous! And in my books this was very impressive, especially for my skin type!
This product actually states that it is good for 'up to % hours shine control,' and I would say in my opinion this statement would be quite accurate.
I would say that if you did reapply this product, it may become caked looking. This can happen with many pressed powders if they are over applied, but with this product and it lasting power you really won't have worry about re-applying it!
This Rimmel powder is actually £3.99 from Superdrug. Which I actually think is a reasonable price for, in my opinion, a great quality product.
EcoTools Flawless Face Set Review...
Eco-tools make-up brushes are one of my favourite products/ companies as they're brilliant quality and really do stand the test of time! So when I saw that I had received this Flawless Face brush Set I was one very happy girl!!
So the brushes included in this set are (from front to back)
-Flat Concealer
-Precision Foundation
-Buffing Concealer
-Complexion Blending
-Full Powder
I really love all of the brushes, but my favourite brushes are the Flat Concealer and the Full Powder. The Flat concealer is brilliant for applying concealer in areas which need more attention for example under eyes and around the nose area. The Full powder brush is absolutely brilliant as I have the full size of this brush, and now I don't have to carry the it with me, I can now pop this little brush into my bag!
I love the idea of having these brushes in my make-up bag instead of carrying around big, full size brushes! They are cute, compact and do the job just as we'll as their bigger siblings!!
Rimmel Scandal eyes Mascara Review...
Hello there!
I thought I would share with you all a product I have been loving recently. This is the Rimmel Scandal eyes  retro glam mascara. I received this product in my stocking at Christmas and I have been using it constantly ever since!
When first opening this mascara, I was quite shocked at how big the application brush is. Most of the mascaras I currently own have relatively small brushes.
However I have to say that this mascara with it's big applicator perfectly volumises my lashes. I really love how my lashes don't look clumpy with too much product!
Have you tried the Rimmel Scandel eyes mascara??
Trying Bourjois...
This is my first time trying any Bourjois products, even though I have always wanted to try these little blush pots each time I walked past them in Superdrug! So just before Christmas, I thought I would treat myself and splurge on three of the Blushes. I say splurge because even thought some may purchase these Blushes all the time, I usually stick to a cheaper blusher from Rimmel so these Bourjois Blushes are slightly more expensive that what I am normally used to!
The three shade I chose were, (from left to right) 54 Rose Frisson, 37 Rose Pompon and 03 Brun Cuivre. The shade of Blush I normally wear for my everyday make-up look is a pink or slightly dark pink shade. I used to wear a darker brown shade, but looking back on it now it defiantly did not suit my skin tone!
So, I opted for these three shade, the 54 Rose Frisson and the 37 Rose Pompon were choices I didn't even have to think about! They are gorgeous shades and exactly what I was looking for in a Blush shade.
So have you tried any Bourjois Blushes??
 What are your favourite shades???
My Christmas 2013...
Hello There!!!
Did you all have a wonderful Christmas.. I certainly did!
I hope you all had a lovely celebrating Christmas and the Holidays with your family, friends and those you love! I love Christmas time, the wrapping of presents, the music... and of course the food (although now I feel like an over-stuffed bird!)
 Here are some of the make-up and beauty related products I received as lovely Christmas presents.
I was very excited to receive the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette and even though the Naked Palette 3 came out, I have been wanting Naked 2 for quite some time because of the shades included.
I can't wait to test out my new hair curlers...(Goodness know I needed a new pair!) and the mini set of Eco-tools brushes, which I think are the cutest brushes ever!
