July 2014 GlossyBox- Stars And Stripes

Hello there!

And a very big happy and belated 4th of July to all you Americans out there! It seems GlossyBox has went all out this year for their July box and dedicated it to an American theme! Oh...and this has to be the best box/packaging I have EVER seen!!!

So lets take a wee look at what was inside!

Carmex Lip Balm-
This is actually one lip balm/moisturiser that I have been meaning to try this product for quite some time as it always looks so bright and appealing. So I can't wait to try this little pot of lip balm, with its conditioning and moisturising properties.

Absolute New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer- I normally just stick to my reliable Urban Decay eyeshadow potion to prime my eyelids before using eyeshadow. However it would be great to find another brilliant eyeshadow primer product!

Mary Kay Cosmetics, Lash Love Mascara
This is another product which I have never tried (or even heard of!)
"US best seller, Lash Love Mascara defines, defend, and delivers up to four times more volume." Sounds brilliant and it also says it contains vitamin E to help strengthen lashes and I am all for that!

Colour Club, Glossy Seal
This is a lovely full size nail polish in the shade Glossy Seal, which has been created just for Glossybox! I love the shade of this nail polish and I love it even more after reading that it I made with non-toxic and cruelty free ingredients!

Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd,Mineral Lipstick
Oh this is my favourite product from the whole box. The shade of the lipstick is called Cat Walk and is super smooth after application, it almost feels moisturising at the same time! Love it! The price for this lippy is £20, which is usually a lot more that I pay for my lipsticks, so I was very happy to receive this in the box!

So my final thought on this months Glossybox??

Yet another fantastic box filled with new products which I can't wait to try! And considering I only paid £10 +P&P, the items within this box really exceeded the amount spent! So in my opinion definitely worth it!

Rimmel Scandal Eyes- Rockin' Curves

This is the newest Rimmel mascara to hit the shelves and the newest addition to my make-up collection. It really feel like Rimmel have a new mascara out all the time, which I think would be quite confusing for anyone trying to choose a new mascara for the first time!

The Curved brush as suggested in the title, 'Rockin' Curves,' is something new and may take a while getting used to. The brush as well, I will add is quite big and thick, so for those of you who do not like big mascara wands or brushes I would not recommend this for you! I however, actually like the mascara with bigger brush, they always seem to work well with giving a bit of mush needed length and volume to me short eyelashes!

Volume they said. 'No clumps' they said.

Well both of those statements weren't exactly true. The brush did have a lot of product on it the first time I used it, and it did make my eyelashes look a little clumpy. Actually I think that is putting is mildly, there was a lot of product and loads of clumping! I found it very hard to coat my lashes without having them overly coated in mascara!

I didn't see a lot of difference to the volume of my lashes, but my lashes did look a little longer from using this product, compared to other small brush mascara. Also they in the description said it gives volumes to inner lashes because of the brush. Granted I did find it sightly more easy with with angle of brush to coat my inner lashes with the product, but it didn't give the effect I thought it was going to give.

So Try or Miss? I think unless you are dying to try this product out, give it a miss at least for now as the price is not really worth the product in my opinion.
